ORLANDO, FL (January 16, 2018) — Aktion Parks is pleased to announce Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC) will be adding an inflatable Aquapark in Spring of 2018.

Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC) will be the first in Central Florida to launch the inflatable Aquapark attraction. Known by many as the world’s most recognized cable park, OWC will be adding the inflatable Aquapark by Wibit, the premier inflatables manufacturer in the water park industry. The aquapark concept is inspired by LEGO blocks, featuring a modular series of interlocking climbing obstacles, pathways, slides, and trampolines, allowing for endless fun for all ages.

With multiple challenges like the XXL climbing tower, trampoline, balance beam, monkey bars, rodeo slide and much more the Aquapark at OWC will provide hours of fun for families. The new attraction will complement our world-famous cable park situated on a 60-acre lake that features two full size cable systems, a two tower cable system used for our Get-Up-Guarantee, and the award winning Super Air Nautique G23 and record-breaking Ski Nautique 200 available for lessons on the boat lake.

The Aquapark will be a great addition for anyone looking for a unique event for corporate and private parties, especially birthday parties! OWC is open year-round to the public except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

WOO Wake is the newest game for Wakeboarders where you can push your limits, challenge friends, and have more fun while riding! Attach the WOO Sensor to your board and go ride, the WOO detects all of your jumps giving you a score based on how big you go, how difficult your tricks are and how well you land. After you ride simply download your results to the WOO Sports App to see how you did and how you stacked up against your friends.

How does WOO score my tricks?
WOO scores each jump based on a couple of factors. It detects how big you go, how much you spin, if you flip, and how cleanly you land. Charge your next hit, get more airtime and boost your score. Throw your best trick Switch and get even more points. Take your next hit Toeside to earn a few extra points. It all counts! Want to see which tricks score higher than others? Check out the WOO Wake Tricktionary!

WOO gives you a Session Score based on your 5 highest scoring tricks, you can compete on daily, spot, country and global leaderboards. You can also see how you stack up based on your best trick, total accumulated points, number of jumps and more! Challenge your crew and other riders around the world.

WOO Wake is a game for wakeboarders that challenges riders to max out their score by boosting big and landing spins & flips. The bigger the trick, the bigger the score, with the top five tricks counting toward an overall Session Score. Everything is scored using a WOO sensor clipped right onto the wakeboard. ORLANDO, FL (December 7, 2016) – Aktion Parks is proud to announce that the 2016 Slider Spectacular, held over the weekend at Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC), was the largest in the event’s 14-year history.

In addition to a large crowd on-site, more than 3,000 viewers tuned into the Facebook Live stream over the two day competition to watch a record 74 riders compete in nine divisions spanning all ages and abilities. Spectators had the opportunity to browse several on-site vendors including Performance Ski & Surf, BB Talking, Duncan Toys, SeaDek, and UNLEASHED magazine.

The launch of the new judging format and TheBoardr scoring system was incredibly successful. Scores were released immediately and posted online after each heat, making the results easily accessible by all competitors and spectators. Final results for each division can be found here.

Also new for 2016, Slider Spectacular hosted the first ever Cable Awards ceremony for local OWC riders. Much like Wake Awards, special riders who have stood out throughout the year were awarded in several categories. The awards included:

• Male Rider of the Year – Brandon and Josh Harris
• Female Rider of the Year – Priscilla Cruz
• Grom Rider of the Year – Hayden Carnes
• “Check out this Kid” Award – Gavin Giglio
• Honorary “Cable Rat” Award – Josh Harris (with 210 days of riding in 2016)

ORLANDO, FL (November 4, 2016) – Aktion Parks is proud to announce the 14th Annual Slider Spectacular to be held December 3-4 at the world famous Orlando Watersports Complex (OWC).

Riders of all ages and abilities, competing in nine divisions, will challenge themselves on OWC’s legendary Advanced Cable. Over the course of two days, riders are guaranteed to ride at least twice in this Features Only competition.

Competition organizers will be introducing several exciting new elements to this year’s event, including a new streamlined judging format that minimizes wait times for riders and results. This new format will provide a live display with updated results that can be viewed on site or online through any device. By popular demand, the Junior Pro (16 and under) division will make its debut at the 14th Annual Slider Spectacular.

Also new for 2016, Slider Spectacular presents the first ever Cable Awards ceremony for local OWC riders. Much like Wake Awards, special riders who have stood out throughout the year will be awarded in several categories. These categories include:

• Male Rider of the Year

• Female Rider of the Year

• Grom Rider of the Year

• “Check out this Kid” Award

• OWC Video of the Year

• Honorary “Cable Rat” Award
